i would try not using a .JPG to hold the rectification. If possible, keep
them in .TIF or JPEG 2000 format (.jp2). The JPEG 2000 format comes with a
world file, which can hold a projection.... the normal JPGs don't normally
hold a projection, they can... but it gets tricky.
I'm not sure if this would help your problem... but worth a try!
